It is only January!

Ok so our year has started off a little rough. Not quite what we had hoped for. 2009 brought us tears, ticket, ER Visit, and a deductible. Let me explain. December 30th, Ashlee fell off the top bunk bed, ( we had to move the ladder because our dear Parker figured out how to climb up it.) she fell and had a bloody nose. Richard being the EMT that he is checked her out and thought it was just a sprain and sore nose. Later that night she woke up screaming in pain, we gave her some Tylenol and the next morning we were in the E.R. with a broken wrist. And of course they did not have orange coban to wrap it so on came the tears! Needless to say a week later she got on her real cast and of course thank goodness it was orange! On January 1st, I was coming home from a late shift at the hospital and I had slowed down for some racing cars and all of a sudden boom, I had hit a deer! I didn't know what to do so I just kept driving. OOops! I really didn't think it had done any damage, really a 500lb deer versus a plastic bumper, why would there be any damage. So to my surpsrise there is damage, take a look at the pic. So anyway as I called the insurance I failed to realze that we had a $1000.00 deductible, there goes our tax return! And that is not all! The next day I went to let the dogs out and Mona had unexpectedly passed on. The hardest thing so far to tell Dani has been this. She was the closest and loved to take care of Mona. She was most worried about where we were going to bury her. With the help of Cody later that night Richard wrapped her in a blanket and laid her to rest. I never understood how people were so sad when a pet dies until now. She will be missed! Okay so jsut when we thought our three strikes off bad luck her threw, one more crept into the week. I was at Holiday for a quick coke run and pulled into the only spot available, I ran in and to my surprise when I walked out their was a police officer ticketing me for parking in a handicapped spot. Dang it! Hopes to a better February!

Sheesh, you'd think with all the accidents around cuz of the snow, that cop woulda had something better to do than give you a ticket for being in the handicap spot for what... two point three seconds?

Sounds like we need another GNO just for stress relief Biff! Sorry this month has been one disaster after another for you and your family! I'm thinking you deserve a GREAT Valentines Day!

OK I am still kind of laughing about the handicap thing. Don't you realize those spots are saved for people who take longer to get a coke than 45 seconds! Maybe you should have others make your coke runs...
