Richard Goes to South Carolina

As many of you know my wonderful husband is a soldier. So with this comes trainings, drills and yes, deployment. Richard left last Sunday for five weeks to do a training in the postal area of his unit to help prepare him for serving in Iraq. He is on alert to deploy this November for a year. Although we knew this was coming it is still hard to prepare our children. I am gratefull for the little training trips he is taking this year to prepare me and the kids for a change to come. I am not sure how much they truly understand but by making countdowns and talking on their level I think they are doing well. Unlike Germany's trip last November the girls are able to talk to him on the phone and that helps keep him close. We are very blessed that we have not had an over seas deployment until now. Richard is ready to serve his country and I hope he knows he has our support and love behind him all the way!
