With Richard gone this year, I am trying really hard not to let too many traditions not be kept. Christmas lights have been a tradition from the start. Richard normally checks them out, goes through them and replaces the bulbs and then hangs them so carefully and wonderfully. Well this year, I was not about to let someone get on our high roofs and hurt themselves, okay at least not anyone I know. So I called Christmas Light Professionals and had them come and install our lights. Yes, I said our lights. So the week before they came I headed to the garage and lifted down the big ball of lights. It was a mess. There is no easy way of storing these things. Light bulb, by light bulb I checked and checked to make sure they all worked. Some were broken, some were burned out and some were just plain not there. So after many days and many packages of replacement bulbs, I managed through them, all the while swearing I am never going to put these up on the house again... Well take a look they were worth it. I absolutely love my house at Christmas time. It is beautiful! I added the fine details of the bows, and lite up garland myself. A special thanks to Christmas Light Professionals for making our house look wonderful. Oh yeah, we are still sticking to the icicle lights next year!

Burned out, burned out, ouch, broken!
