Last Summer I noticed Dani was wearing her shoes on the insides out more than normal. After consulting with our pediatrician he referred us to a pediotrist, but due to insurance issues it was put on the back burner until now. Dani needed custom orthodics to correct her flat foot, and no, flat feet is not the shape of your foot! Her ankles roll out which causes her shoes to wear out and in the future without correction will cause hip and knee problems. So after seeking opinions from a few podiatrists we were able to have these casts made of her feet that they will make orthodic inserts for her shoes and she will where these until the end of Summer. If the podiatrist sees that these are correcting the problem, surgery will be postponed until she hits puberty. So until then, she will wear them. She loved having her feet casted. She thought it was soooo cool! Oh yeah and the first picture is her smile on her right foot she has a built in smile!:)
