It has been months since I blogged and I really can say I have missed it. With Richard's deployment around the corner we have been busy preparing for that change that will occur. Knowing that he checks our blog often I need to get back into the swing of things so he can see what we are up to easily. Over the next few months our blog will take a turn. Here's what is to come, Where is Parker and what is he doing?, Daddy's Deployment Countdown, and A Picture of Today. In these sections there will be things changing all the time so that Richard can see us on a daily basis, also since I am terrible at journals, I hope this will help keep track of the 13 months that he will be gone.
As for the past few months, we have been working opposite weeks, when Richard is home from a training, I am working and when he is gone I am home. It is a lot like John and Kate Plus 8, except we are very much still in love, and well for the 8, I don't see our family growing that big.
Dani started First Grade and she is in a program that is teaching her French. She loves it! She has transitioned to all day school well. I cannot believe she will be 7 in a few short weeks. She is a smart and beautiful young girl. She has a sassy side, but what girl doesn't. She loves to learn, draw and hang out with the boys, yes, she is a little tom boyish, with a very girly side. She fits in our family without a glitch.
Ashlee is always packed with drama. She is in the stage that she will tell you how it is and she is so honest... Ashlee is in her last year of Preschool and will head off to Kindergarten next year, which she personally reminds me everyday. Ashlee has a passion for dance and could not wait to get the season started. She assures me that she should dance all day everyday. I look forward to her Christmas recital where I know she will be the star of the show. Ashlee is one of the most compassionate children I know. She shows so much concern and love for someone who is hurt. I think her motherly instinct is already set in... Ashlee will remain our middle child at least for now and how she makes a name for herself. I love who she is and can't wait to see what she becomes!
Parker. Well one word is all you need to know about him. BUSY! He is all over the place. We just celebrated his 2nd birthday and oh how he holds the title of Terrible Two well. He is constantly doing something, and usually it is of no good. Let's just say that had he been my first, he would have been the only... Parker does have a sweet side. There is not a day go by that I do not see him run to someone and give them a great big hug. He is so friendly and loves to wave at people all around. He has a smile to melt your heart, but be careful, if you own anything nice, he will destroy it... I love him and am so glad he is mine, but boy there are days that I can't wait to see him on his own...Parker holds a special place with Richard. He is his only son, and well as given he gets away with everything with Daddy...Let's just say that I think they have some kind of secret pact to drive me crazy, but neither will admit to this theory...
As you can tell our little family of five has been busy this Summer and as Fall is near we have a lot of changes coming our way.
Stay tuned. If anything check our Parkers post each day and be so glad that he lives with me and not you...
