Sunday Richard left for New Jersey for a few weeks and then from there he will continue on to Afghanistan. It was a sad day at the airport and although he knows he has a huge support system here in the states it was still hard. He left with tears in his eyes and will be missed so much. We love and appreciate what he is doing for our family and country. Richard has served in the Army for 11 years. When I look at him I see strength, love and devotion. At the airport he gave Dani, Ashlee and Parker a stuffed animal with a personalized message to them. I have heard them non stop since. I am so blessed with a wonderful husband who understands me and knows me completely. I am also so blessed with wonderful parents who support us unconditionally. I am also blessed with sisters and a brother in law that lends a shoulder to cry on and support. I am also blessed with brave children that remind me everyday to cherish the small things. I am blessed with friends that are supportive and kind. But most of all I am blessed to be circled in the arms of my Savior, who knows exactly what I am going through and will comfort my family through this separation.
Richard, you are an inspiration to many. You are loved so much and I know you love so much. We are proud of you and pray for you and your troops safety daily. I love you!

what an awesome post, I'm bawling!! I'm here for you guys and know you have a wonderful family support. He will be in our prayers and we appreciate his service for our freedom
